In the Community

The Youville mission of providing compassionate care extends beyond the Cambridge and Lexington residential communities.  As a way to extend the mission into the greater community, Youville participates in programs and activities that improve the environment and the conditions in which people live and work.

The spirit behind this Community Benefit program is one and the same with the Youville mission to deliver care with quality, compassion and vision.

Residents and staff participate in programs such as serving lunches to the homeless, volunteering during community days, and reaching out through programs and activities open to the public.

Environmental Stewardship
Youville Assisted Living residences are committed to environmental stewardship. Each residence meets the environmental standards of Covenant Health Systems.

The Youville residences have eliminated mercury in the workplace, reduced disposable waste, implemented measures to save power and water, and use materials that meet ‘green’ criteria. Both Youville Place in Lexington and Youville House in Cambridge have been recognized with awards for their environmental stewardship efforts. Youville Place received the 2009 Partner Recognition Award from Practice Greenhealth, and both residences have received Partner for Change with Distinction Awards several years running.

These awards demonstrate the commitment Youville brings toward preserving the environment and providing a safer, healthier community for residents.
