Our Caring, Committed Staff: Tamarah Berleus
Our caring, committed staff are the heart of our values-based approach to assisted living, and Tamarah exemplifies this like no one else. Tamarah joined the Youville family 11 years ago. She came to Youville during a time when a lot of staff had extended family also working here. She was able to work with her mother, brothers, and cousins. Tamarah started working in dining services and then branched out to work in reception in order to grow within the organization. “My role has evolved a lot and I have been given more responsibility with my time at the desk. I’ve gained a lot of trust from both residents and employees by being consistent with my work and the services I have provided.”
She enjoys the relationships she is able to form with residents and staff members, and especially loves hearing about what residents did and where they lived when they were younger. Youville residents have a diverse array of accomplishments, experiences, and backgrounds – but all agree that Tamarah’s warmth, compassion, and attentiveness has become an irreplaceable part of their daily lives.
Tamarah is known by all as someone who goes above and beyond for our residents daily. She often spends her days off visiting residents who are in the hospital or rehab.
One thing Tamarah has learned from her time at Youville is to put herself out there more. She is very talented and has achieved much in her career. Tamarah is an asset to Youville and we are so grateful and happy to have her on our team!
